The bad guys in Call of Duty are well-armed, well-trained and well-populated. Judging by the dozens of collectible “enemy intelligence” items scattered about Modern Warfare 2’s battlefields, however, they are also extremely lazy, ridiculously forgetful and sort of stupid.

As soon as you've finished teaching the new guys how to shoot, head for the guard tower pictured below. It's directly across from the entrance to the "The Pit". The laptop is at the base.

Team Player - 2 Intel Items

This laptop is inside the school, right before the exit. You'll enter a couple of rooms painted white and turquoise, with rectangular columns in the middle. The laptop is against one of the walls.

Team Player - Intel item #2

Immediately after grabbing the previous laptop, you'll exit the school. On your way out, look for another laptop sitting on a crate next to a yellow cab.

Cliffhanger - 3 Intel Items

Cliffhanger - Intel Item #1

Before entering the blizzard-obscured base, look to the right for a circular road with a tower in the center. The laptop is up a ladder, on the catwalk.

Cliffhanger- Intel Item #2

Plant the C4, then meet Soap at the rendezvous spot. Don’t follow him right away. Instead, turn around and follow the ditch in the opposite direction. The laptop is through a warehouse window on your right. Shoot the glass out in order to grab it… the plane mechanics working inside won’t even notice.

 
Cliffhanger - Intel Item #3

This one’s tough to spot unless you know exactly where to look. During the snowmobile section, keep to the right of the path and watch for a small wooden shack on a hill. The finish line should be about 1800 meters away at this point, and the shack should be hit by a missile. See the wooden fence in the picture below? Turn slightly left at that fence, heading into the copse of trees. The laptop is on the ground and you can simply drive over to obtain. If you miss it, hit “B” or “Circle” to reverse. If you jump past a crashing tree into an area swarming with enemies on foot, you’ve gone too far.

Near the start of the shantytown, when you're still on flat ground, be on the lookout for this motorcycle. The laptop is inside the opposite structure - the one with the poster - as seen in the screen below.

Takedown - Intel Item #2

When you find the red brick building pictured below, climb the ladder and head inside for the laptop. It's on a wooden desk right past the door.

Takedown - Intel Item #3

After grabbing the last laptop, look for a taller red brick building to the left. Head inside, but stay on the first floor. The laptop is next to two beds.

Takedown - Intel Item #4

Wait until you find the car pictured below. Go through the door of the building on the right, then downstairs. The laptop is between two beds.

Wolverines! - Intel Item #1

The gas station is the first business you’ll encounter in this shopping area. Simply go inside and stand behind the checkout counter. The laptop is right in front of you.

Wolverines! - Intel Item #2

At some point, you’ll be ordered to clear the Burger Town of enemies. To the left of that fast food joint is a small fenced trash enclosure with a dumpster. The laptop is inside that dumpster.

Find the Taco Bell lookalike. Head inside. The laptop is on a table near the front entrance.

Wolverines! - Intel Item #4

Find the bank. Head inside. The laptop is in one of the cubicles near the door.

The Hornet's Nest - 4 Intel Items

The mission starts, you climb a hill and engage in a huge firefight with men on roofs and men shooting from white trucks. Immediately afterwards, you'll walk past the red garage door below. Head inside, past the blue car and find the laptop on a green checkered kitchen table.

Next, you'll run downhill and enter a large, overgrown field with the Barateiro market. After clearing the enemies, move to the left - towards the basketball hoop - and keep an eye out for a wooden shack with a rubber tire on its roof. On two metal barrels underneath is the laptop.

Now you'll be running back uphill, past Pelayo's ice cream store. The laptop is inside and up three flights of stairs... you can get there more directly by entering the building higher up the hill, as indicated by the arrows in the screenshot below.

Right before climbing onto the roofs and running towards Nikolai’s helicopter, you’ll walk through this dilapidated soccer field. The laptop is in a broken window, behind the far goal post.

At the Garden Villas Apartments, find the management office in front of the parking lot. The laptop is on a desk inside, underneath a presidential portrait.

Exodus - Intel Item #2

Halfway through the mission is a security gate, separating the middle class area of the neighborhood from the nicer, upper class area with the bigger houses. Inside the security office is the laptop.

Exodus - Intel Item #3

Cross the little covered bridge into the upper class half of the neighborhood. Heading down the street, the laptop will be in the second house on your right. Just go upstairs and grab it off the yellow couch in the hallway.

The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday - 3 Intel Items

The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday - Intel Item #1

After breaching your first door in this mission, you'll climb two flights of stairs and go through the room pictured below. Instead of exiting immediately through those double white doors, turn around and check the cluttered shelves behind you for a laptop.

The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday - Intel Item #2

You'll reach the location pictured below almost immediately after planting C4 on the dead Russian soldiers. Head through the small warehouse room and look for a laptop on the righthand wall shelves.

The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday - Intel Item #3

You might spot this laptop while hiding from the helicopter. It's behind a fence at that point, but once you've destroyed the helicopter and followed the mission path around the building, you can pop back into the warehouse and grab it from under the stairs.

The Gulag - 4 Intel Items

The Gulag - Intel Item #1

Just before entering the prison, you’ll see these stairs. Two enemies attempt to escape up them. Head up yourself and find the laptop hidden at the shadowy far end of the room.

This laptop is at the back of the first circular, central control tower. Just go around the monitors and you can’t miss it.

This one’s in the section where Soap tells you to grab a Riot Shield… immediately after the second control tower in which you were locked in and surrounded by enemies. Simply follow the mission path and check the prison cells on your right. In the one pictured below, you’ll find the laptop.

You’ve located Prisoner #627. The game’s characters are urging you to run forward and escape the mission. Don’t… not yet. Immediately after the cutscene ends, turn around and check the desk behind you, to the right of the door you came through. Grab the laptop and then you can follow your pals.

Of Their Own Accord - 2 Intel Items

Get inside the government building and clear the lobby area of enemies. Then follow your men down this hallway and check the elevator on your left. A laptop is sitting between the two dead soldiers... you might have to jump and crouch over the first body to grab it, though.

Of Their Own Accord - Intel Item #2

This laptop is near the balcony with the missile launcher you plant C4 on. A Russian soldier will pop out of the door indicated below. Kill him and move inside for the intel.

Follow Captain Price until you reach an elevated pipeline. He'll give you the option of shooting or sparing two guards at this point. Kill them and check the area to their left. Underneath a downed parachute is the laptop.

Contingency - Intel Item #2

Find Warehouse #33 and check all the workbenches inside. One of them, near one of the doors, holds the laptop.

Contingency - Intel Item #3

This laptop is next to the helipad, which depending on your aim with the Predator missiles, may or may not have the actual helicopter sitting on it. Check the wall opposite the landing area.

Whiskey Hotel - 2 Intel Items

You should see this one immediately after exiting the Oval Office. It's on a black leather sofa right outside the door.

Whiskey Hotel - Intel Item #2

Near the end of the mission, just after running up the stairs pictured below but before lighting your green emergency flares, check the right wall for a laptop.

Loose Ends - 3 Intel Items

Behind the main house, down a forest path and next to the shore, is a boathouse. The laptop is on a crate outside.

Loose Ends - Intel Item #2

On the highest floor of the main house, inside the main bedroom, is this laptop. If you don't recognize the area from the screen below, it's also the bedroom with the blow-up sex doll in the attached bathroom. The intel is next to the largest, blind-covered window.

Loose Ends - Intel Item #3

This laptop is found in the basement of the main house, tucked away in the room full of guns and ammo.

The Enemy of My Enemy - 2 Intel Items

The Enemy of My Enemy - Intel Item #1

You begin this mission inside a junkyard airplane. The laptop is in the fuselage of another junk plane immediately to the right of this one.

The Enemy of My Enemy - Intel Item #2

Another laptop inside another junk airplane. You'll find this one with about 84 meters left to your destination, while climbing out of the big, enemy-filled valley about halfway through the mission.

Just Like Old Times - 4 Intel Items

Just Like Old Times - Intel Item #1

While hiding in the shadows, you'll watch a flashlight-carrying patrol move by to investigate the guards you killed outside. Captain Price will give you a choice to shoot or spare the remaining, smoking guard (next to a television monitor). At this point, head for the tunnel to the right of that guard. The laptop is on a metal crate at the end.

Just Like Old Times - Intel Item #2

Before exiting back into sunlight, you'll be in this smoky, red lit area. To the left of the cave exit is the laptop, almost completely hidden in shadow.

Just Like Old Times - Intel Item #3

You're in the second set of caves, battling riot shield soldiers who are crossing narrow wooden beams. There's a lot of smoke, with Captain Price using thermal vision. The laptop is a bit past this encounter, in a dead-end tunnel to the right.

Just Like Old Times - Intel Item #4

This laptop is in the final cavern, on a table full of empty beverage cans. It's the room in which you must override the door controls before the countdown runs out.

Endgame - 1 Intel Item

If you missed this one, you weren’t even trying. The laptop is sitting on a box right in front of the raft. If you accidentally board the boat before grabbing it, simply hit “start” and load your last checkpoint.
